Daisuke Matsuzaka, who Red Sox fans hope is their new $100 million ace, is already under scrutiny. Apparently, Boston sports anchor Butch Stearns has taken up a crusade against Matsuzaka and a recently released beer advertisement. Stearns appeared on radio station WEEI as well as online forums.
In the commercial, Matsuzaka brandishes a Red Sox jersey, chugs an Asahi beer and then pitches in front of (presumably) a raucous Fenway crowd. Some of the imagery is obviously CGI, but it comes across pretty realistic. See for yourself . . .
Maybe "D-Mat" will be cast for an upcoming sequel. The "Drink Like A Dice-K Today" shirts are already being printed. Looks like Roethlisberger has some competition.

Stearns sounds liek a genius on that blog of his. Im not sure if this is too big a deal since young kids will not see overseas ads.
